Terms & Conditions

1 - Payment

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

When an order is placed through our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption and are stored at the server of Stripe, a trusted, secure online payment company.

2 - Making a Purchase

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it online, contact us and we will resolve the issue.

You will receive a confirmation when we have received your order. This confirmation does not indicate that a contract exists between us.

3 - The contract between us

Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an invoice to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.

4 - Back-orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back-order it for you. In such cases, you will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order. Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

Sometimes part of an order is out of stock and this may delay delivery. You will be advised of any undue delay.

The appearance of "in stock" against an item is not a guarantee that it will be in store if you visit as it may just have sold instore or online. If an item is sold out, we will endeavor to bring it back into stock as quickly as possible.

If a product is unavailable, a similar product of equal or greater value may be substituted in its place. VAT is included in all prices shown.

We cannot guarantee delivery on a particular date or time.

5 - Our right to refuse your order

We reserve the right to refuse to accept your order if one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

If we do refuse your order we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

6 - Delivery of goods to you

We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order.

We aim to deliver all orders within 5-7 working days. At present we only deliver within the Republic of Ireland.

By accepting these terms you agree that proof of delivery provided by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

You must inform us within two working days, quoting your order number in all correspondence, if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can correct the problem.

7 - Tax Charges

For orders made from Ireland or the European Union, 23% VAT is added where applicable. All other orders are VAT-free.

8 - Privacy

You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.

9 - Liability

If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity then you must notify us immediately  by contacting admin@hanleysonline.com quoting your order number

Save as precluded by law and except where you are dealing as a consumer, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or good will) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.

10 - Your right to cancel your contract – refunds and returns

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days of receiving them for a refund less the cost to us of shipping the goods to you initially. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order.

You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned must be in the same perfect condition as when purchased. If you cancel the contract but do not return the goods to us in the condition they were in when delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

11 - Warranty returns

For returns of faulty goods, contact us with details of your purchase as follows: your order number, date and time of purchase, name of product purchased and photographic evidence of the fault.

We will then contact you for more information about the issue before you return the goods to us. You will need to pay return postage which will be refunded to you when we send the replaced/repaired item.

All returns to Hanley’s, either by post or to our shop, MUST be in a clean condition or, for health and safety reasons, we will not accept them.

12 - Changes to terms and conditions

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so you are advised to always check the terms and conditions on future orders.

None of these terms affects your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to the minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
